It’s OCTOBER, and you know what that means… Halloween is just around the corner.  To celebrate, we are excited to participate in The Halloween with Harlequin Teen tour!  I’m so very happy to announce that I’m hosting one of my favorite authors — Rachel Vincent!  Rachel is the author of the Soul Screamers series, which just wrapped up with it’s seventh and final installment this March.

About The Soul Screamer Series

It starts with a scream….

New York Times bestselling author Rachel Vincent’s compelling Soul Screamers series keeps getting better—

MY SOUL TO TAKE

She’s always felt different, but now Kaylee discovers why. The screams that cannot be denied mean that someone near her will die—and she can never save them. Because saving one life means taking another….

MY SOUL TO SAVE

Going on dates with her boyfriend is still new to Kaylee. But when the singer of the band they’re seeing dies onstage and Kaylee doesn’t scream, she knows something crazy is going on. Soon she discovers souls can indeed be sold….

MY SOUL TO KEEP

Aside from the whole “I scream when someone is about to die” thing, Kaylee Cavanaugh’s life has gotten better. She’s getting to know her dad, doing okay in school and has a hot new boyfriend who understands her in every way. Until the hellion Avari starts tempting everyone with an exotic new drug—demon’s breath….

MY SOUL TO STEAL

Now on shaky ground with Nash Hudson, Kaylee is taking their relationship easy. But then Sabine—Nash’s ex—storms into their lives. She’s determined to get Nash back and there’s nothing she won’t do to remind him of what they had. And since Sabine has special abilities of her own, Kaylee is headed into a battle she’s not sure she can win….

IF I DIE

The entire school’s talking about the gorgeous new math teacher, Mr. Beck. But the next scream might be for Kaylee.  But Kaylee’s borrowed lifeline is nearing its end. And those who care about her will do anything to save her life.  Anything.

BEFORE I WAKE

I died on a Thursday—killed by a monster intent on stealing my soul. The good news? He didn’t get it.  The bad news? Turns out not even death will get you out of high school….

WITH ALL MY SOUL

When one more person close to her is taken, Kaylee realizes she can’t save everyone she loves without risking everything she has….

Guest Post: Characters As Halloween Candy

To celebrate Halloween, I’ve asked the Soul Screamers characters what kind of Halloween candy they would each be!

Sabine: I’d be Moonstruck’s Habanero Sea Salt Caramel-Dark Chocolate. Because I taste really good, but I’ll burn your tongue on the way down…

Nash: I’d be candy corn, because you can never go wrong with a classic.

Sophie: I would be La Madeline au Truffle. It is very expensive, made from rare, high quality ingredients, and it comes displayed on a bed of sugar pearls. And everyone knows pearls compliment my skin tone.

Emma: I’d definitely be a homemade truffle. It may not be perfectly round or as beautifully decorated as a fancy, store-bought confection, but inside, the ganache is still just as sweet and creamy as you remember, and in the end, that ganache is happy to still be here, no matter what kind of candy coating it’s wearing now.

Tod: I’d be Moonstruck’s Haunted House collection, because it contains every flavor a girl could possibly want, all wrapped up in the perfect package.

Kaylee: I’d probably be a meringue ghost, because sometimes I feel like I’m not really here, anymore. Like I could just melt away.

  4. What an awesome giveaway! I love paranormal books for the characters’ abilities – I don’t know how authors come up with them, but keep ’em coming!

I tried to put in a carriage return (Enter key) on my mailing info on the form, and it marked me as “done”. Please don’t hate me!

    • I know what you mean! I like when they take something commonly known and change it, flip it. It’s really cool to see the way authors come up with their paranormal.

  5. Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I have only read the first book in the soul screamers series, but I can’t wait to read the rest. The newest Omnibus cover- holy macaroni is it beautiful! PS- I love paranormal books because… well they are an excellent escape from real life!

  6. This is a fabulous giveaway! Better yet, all of these books are on my TBR pile.

I wish I knew what drew me into scary books – it’s definitely not waking up at 3am and thinking the ghosts are about to attack, that’s for sure. But something just draws me into reading them and I can’t put them down. It doesn’t hurt that paranormal novels are my favorite 🙂

  7. Love love love scary books! They just reel me in just like scary movies. It’s the rush that I get when I’m watching and/or reading them. The mystery and suspense that keeps me on the edge of my seat and continuously flipping through the pages!

Btw, I love the Soul Screamers Series book covers! Beautiful!

Thanks for the giveaway and wonderful tour stop!

  8. Paranormal books are my jam! I love scary books! And I love anything involving witches, werewolves, ghosts, vampires, etc.
