Today we are SO excited to be able to participate in the Salvaged web series tour. Salvaged, by Stefne Miller, is a young adult contemporary romance that was published May 18, 2010 by Tate Publishing & Enterprises. Recently, the book has been made into a web series.
So far on the tour, we’ve seen two episodes. If you are just joining in, visit Book Nerds for the full schedule. Today, the tour is stopping by Such a Novel Idea to talk more to one of the actors. So, let’s take a look behind the scenes with actor Marc Yellin, who plays Jesus in the series.

About the Series
Attie Reed, has survived the car accident that killed her mother and close friend, Melody Bennett. When Attie moves in with the Bennett family for the summer, she is forced to face the demons of her past, an unknown future, and growing feelings for Melody’s brother, Riley.
How the series came to be:
My production company is developing a possible television/DVD or web stream drama series. In order to approach networks, distributors and investors, we needed to create a pilot/proof of concept reel.
In May, we shot for five days in Los Angeles and created a 40 minute pilot. While the project is being shopped around, we also decided to release the pilot as a web series. We believe it introduces viewers to the characters and story and we hope to build an audience in advance of a possible full series being produced
The web series covers approximately the first seven chapters of the novel.

‘My body was being torn apart, and my stomach felt as if it exploded. The pain was excruciating, and I was aware that I was dying… ‘Mom?’
My vision was murky, but I could see her face. It was bloody, and her eyes were large and full of fear.
Her voice calmed. ‘Get out of the car, Attie.’ Her words sounded crisp and clear. I looked into the backseat in search of Melody and found her lying covered in blood in a twisted heap on the floor. I turned my attention back to my mother and out of the corner of my eye saw fire.
‘Get out, Attie!’ ‘Mom?’ Everything went dark.’
Attie Reed should have died in the wreck that stole the lives of her mother and best friend. But her life was spared. Why?
When Attie moves to Oklahoma to stay with the Bennetts for the summer, she hopes she has left her nightmares behind.
But her battle is far from over, and Riley Bennett steps forward to help her fight the nighttime monsters. As the battle wears on, Riley begins fighting monsters of his own: his feelings for Attie.
And Attie realizes she must begin to face the monsters of the night herself if she wants to conquer them for good.
