Stacking the Shelves (21)

STSnew

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

After last week, I took it easy on the book acquiring.  However, the ones I got are pretty great!

From Netgalley/Edelweiss

*SO SO SO* excited about And We Stay.  If you’ll remember, that was one of my Waiting on Wednesdays in September.

  1. I picked up And We Stay and We Were Liars this week, too. I can’t wait to read them. I’ve heard such great things about We Were Liars. I just finished Heartbeat last night. I can’t say I enjoyed it, but it was a good story and the writing was excellent.

Anyway, enjoy all your new books… and Happy Holidays!

    My StS.

    • I read And We Stay last night and really liked it. My review will be out on Friday.

I hadn’t heard too much about We Were Liars, but it looks SO good.

And I really like books that rip you to shreds, which is probably why I loved Heartbeat.

      • Don’t get me wrong, I liked Heartbeat a lot. It’s probably a four-star for me. It was just too sad, at times, for me to say that I enjoyed it. It made me feel and sympathize and I really thought it was beautiful.

        • I thought that what you meant 🙂 For some reason, I am a masochist who enjoys books that make me depressed. Except Allegiant. I will not be getting over that one for a long time.

          • I hear you. I’m a total emotional reader and I do enjoy torturing myself in the midst of a good story. Allegiant is my exception to that, though. I… Still don’t have words.

    • I really enjoy anthologies, because I can pick and choose and skip around. I actually read The Foundation in one (Ann Aguirre’s prequel to the Enclave series) and was SO excited about how it worked with the story. I also read the prequel to the Of Poseidon books, which actually made me pick up the series.

    • Now that I finished And We Stay, those three are probably my most anticipated.

I’ve been wanting to read Through the Ever Night Forever, but was planning on getting it in paperback. I actually canceled my pre-order and bought the cheaper e-book.

    • I actually finished And We Stay Last Night. I really enjoyed it! I’ve seen mixed reviews, but it really worked for me. My review will be up on Friday!

I’m really excited about Time Between Us, I’ve had my eye on it for quite awhile! Thanks for stopping by MaryAnn!

  2. I got She is Not Invisible too! Yay, I’m so happy about that book. Congrats on And We Stay! I love it when you have a WOW book that you get approved for! And I loved In the After, hope you do too! Here’s my STS post.

  3. I picked up The Sound recently, too. I’m so excited to read that one, although I’m going to wait closer to the release date. And We Stay looks really interesting.

Enjoy your goodies and happy reading 🙂

    • I may have to start Through the Ever Night tonight. I have the ARC of the last book, so I can finish it up this weekend.

I love the name of your blog, btw (Book Belles – adorable!)

  4. I love love the Under the Never Sky series. I hope you will also feel the same way. And congratz for buying a lot of good deals. It’s a pity that I am purchasing all my e-books from Kobo.

Thanks for sharing and have a safe weekend.

    • I LOVED Under the Never Sky, but I went on a buying ban of e-books that cost more than $6. SO then I ordered the paperback, but was going to have to wait forever. I got lucky it was on sale (Ever Night) and I’m reading it right now! Already ❤ ❤ ❤

Silly Kobo needs to get with the program and offer the same deals! :-/

  5. Wow. That’s quite a haul there. I have Time Between Us on my Wish List. (What can I say, I’m a Whovian, it’s about time travel, of sorts. I want it).

And We Stay and The Unseemly Education of Anne Merchant has caught my interest and have added them on to my Wish List.

Please check out my haul for this week at http://thewanderingbookworm.wordpress.com/2013/12/22/book-haul-22nd-december-2013-a-k-a-hes-finally-let-the-moths-out-of-the-wallet/

    Enjoy your reads.

Lovely words from lovely people!
