Top Ten Worlds Books That Made Me Cry

Yeah, so this is awkward.  I have a thing about books that make you cry. I kind of seek them out. Why? I don’t know. I like to torment myself, I suppose.  When I went to make this post, I counted 48 books in my Goodreads that could be on this post.  And that was grouping series as one book.  So, obviously I have issues.  And this post was incredible difficult to choose just ten.

Top Ten Things On My Reading Wishlist

Okay, so we didn’t stick to the topic this week… We did things a *little* differently.

I love books, obviously, but one thing I enjoy most about being a self-appointed Book Nerd is the film adaptations. Whenever one of my favorite books gets made or a book that I’ve read in general, I always get like an excited nausea because I’m always afraid that they are going to miss something important or some little detail that I deem important and therefore should be in the film. What I don’t approve is the film going off base from the literary text and making it its own thing (for example: Hamlet with Mel Gibson—bad idea. The film doesn’t follow the play at all, and really Mel, you’re not a very good Hamlet, either).

There are a thousand great book/film adaptaions, but having not read all the books to the films… here are my Top Ten favorite adaptations (and these are in no particular order except 1-3)…

Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2014 (bookish, not bookish or a blend)

It’s that time of the year again.  You know, when everyone decides “new year, new me” and signs up for the gym and stuff.  I kind of make it a point NOT to make resolutions, but I do have some goals for myself and my blog this upcoming year.  The last 9 months have been pretty incredible and much more than I could ever imagined.  I can’t wait to see what 2014 will bring!  Here’s ten goals for myself and my blog.
