I must admit that I’m a sensitive Pisces, so growing up I cried a lot. However, growing up, I have hardened up, so it takes a lot to make me cry in real life. However, a good book that I’m really connecting with can shatter my heart in pieces. So here are six that did just that. Since I could obviously go WAY beyond six, I chose six from 2013.
The lovely ladies over at Chapter Break have started a new meme on Thursdays! That’s What He Said is simple: Just pick a favorite quote from one of your book boyfriend to his heroine. Keep in mind these are direct quotes from dialogue in a book!
Today I chose to spotlight the book I am currently engrossed in. It’s one I’ve wanted to read since NOVEMBER. The reason behind the wait is long and lame, but thanks to Amazon flash sales, I own it and am finally getting to experience it in all its amazingness. So, while I am not done and I’m sure Josh Bennett has some doozy quotes ahead, I’m going to spotlight a couple that made me smile.
“I wished my mother was here tonight, which is stupid, because it’s an impossible wish.” He shrugs and turns to me, drowning the smile that cracks me every time. “It’s not stupid to want to see her again.” “It wasn’t so much that I wanted to see her again,” he says, looking at me with the depth of more than seventeen years in his eyes. “I wanted her to see you.”
“Just so you know,” I inform him, “one day, I’m going to get tired of sharing your affection with that coffee table and I’m going to make you choose.” “Just so you know,” he mimics me, “I would chop that table up and use it for firewood before I would ever choose anything over you.”

I’m going to stop there, because I already accidentally read a spoiler when I was searching GR for these quotes. But you get the point. This book is awesome and so is Josh Bennett. ❤
Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
