Tackle Your TBR Pile READ-A-THON

Read-a-thon Tackle Your TBR

The lovely ladies from Colorimetry and Tressa’s Wishful Endings have come up with this great Read-a-thon to help reduce our TBR pile. The Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon begins September 8th and ends September 21st. You do not have to be a blogger to sign up – so check out their sign up pages and join in the fun! They will be using Twitter hashtag #TackleTBR.  You have until September 16 to sign up, so hurry over!

Have you figured it out yet?  I’m kind of sort of addicted to Read-a-thons

So the way this one works is easy… You’ve got from September 8 to 21st to read as many books in your TBR pile. And blog about it. Easy peasy.

Since I’m the queen of high expectations on read-a-thons, I’m going to go for 16 books.  Yes, I am.

Bout of Books Read-a-Thon — Day 3 Update & Challenge

Bout of Books
Update:
I’m not doing too swell as far as numbers go, BUT I’ve had fun.  And met lots of people. And read lots of AMAZING poems. And participated in the Twitter chat. And learned what Twitter jail is.  SO, all in all, I’ve accomplished a lot.

Challenge # 1

This challenge is hosted by Musings of a Book Shop Girl.

1.  Which 5 books are at the top of your TBR pile at this moment?

The Sea of Tranquility, InfinityGlass, Relativity, The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and The King’s Guard

2.  If I gave you a wad of cash and sent you into a bookshop right now, which 5 books would you buy to add to the stack?

Someday Someday Maybe, The Infinite Moment of Us (Yeah, I know it isn’t out yet), The DIsenchantments, Fangirl (BECAUSE THIS IS MY DREAM, haha!), and The Bone Season

Challenge # 2

Well, since I hosted this challenge, I can’t participate.  But you can see all the lovelies here!

How’d your day three go?

Bout of Books
Hey guys!  *waves*  We’re officially on day THREE of the read-a-thon!  How are you doing so far?  I am SUPER excited to be a challenge host for this read-a-thon.  During my very first read-a-thon, my favorite challenge was Book Spine Poetry, so I jumped at the chance to host it this time around.
The rules are simple:
1. Find some books, and create a poem out of their spine.
2. Take a picture of the spine poem.
3. Upload it on the link.
Here’s my example poem:

Die for me, for darkness shows the stars
Hold still, my name is memory,
Everything is illuminated before I go to sleep

Remember that you must link up to be entered!  Below the link are the Terms & Conditions for this contest.  Good luck!  And be sure to visit other book spine poetry challengers pages and support them.  We’re all in this read-a-thon together.
