The lovely ladies over at Chapter Break have started a new meme on Thursdays! That’s What He Said is simple: Just pick a favorite quote from one of your book boyfriend to his heroine. Keep in mind these are direct quotes from dialogue in a book!
Today I chose Hunter from Made of Stars by Kelley York. Some may consider these quotes spoiler-ish, but I don’t think so b/c it is pretty obvious from the first few pages who will end up together. This was a beautiful story and I cannot get it out of my head. ❤
♥
“When I kiss him, Chance sets a hand in my shirt to hold me right where I am. His lips are dry, but his mouth is warm, and I think… this is how life should be. Chance and me. Kissing him whenever I want.”
-Kelley York, Made of Stars
♥
“I’ll keep you safe,” I mumble into his mouth. “I’ll protect you. I can. I promise.”
-Kelley York, Made of Stars
♥
“Chance has the ability to shatter me into the minuscule fragments and base elements of the star I supposedly came from.”
-Kelley York, Made of Stars
Until we meet again,
Oooo – sounds romantic! I think I have said I wanted to read this book before – it looks good 😀
Oh it was. Dang, I still need to write that review. I wish I could do things in my sleep.
Me, too! So many hours wasted on body rejuvenation D:
And it doesn’t even do that great job at the rejuvenation part. 😛
As in my body, not yours. That sounded rude. Gah. I’m tired.
HAHA. I knew what you meant; don’t worry, Jess! 😀
I am so tired, too. Why are we getting an education again?
And it isn’t like I even need it. I’ve already completed one master’s degree. I’m a glutton for punishment, I suppose.
Oh, wow, that’s awesome 😀 What degree?
You must be. I am, as well. I am taking an Honours in Science next year D:
Previous – Master of Arts in Communication
Currently working on Master of Arts in English Literature, thus the Shakespeare
YOU SO SMART, JESS.
I would have loved to do something English oriented at university, but I’ve always wanted to work with animals. And, I can write on the side, anyway 😀
Well, right now I don’t feel so smart about doing it, haha. It’s TOUGH and I’ve spent the last 10 years working in the area of Communications, so it is a big change in studies. But, I taught developmental writing for six semesters and LOVED it so much. When I get this degree, I’ll be able to teach Lit and talk about books ALL day long, lol.
Haha. You’ll be happy when you come out with your qualification 😀
Oooo – what was that like?
But a change can mean good things!
Oh, wow. That would have been so amazing, and inspiring.
Where area are you interested in working in?
I don’t think I’ve heard of this book, but it sounds awesome 🙂 Thanks for participating, don’t forget to link up. The post should be up now. Also, can you update the link to he new .net? Thanks!
Julie @ Chapter Break
